THIS TRIP IS NOW SOLD OUT.

The Lake District is a National Park in the North West of England. It is famed for its mountains and lakes, as well as the inspiration it gave to the Romantic poets, such as Coleridge, Wordsworth and Shelley. The trip is designed to give you an opportunity to visit this area and enjoy the British countryside.

We leave on Saturday 5th November, at 9am from Watery Street. We drive up to Hadrians Wall, stopping at the Angel of the North on the way to take some photos. We arrive at Hadrians Wall at around 2pm, it has a small cafe and museum, plus the old wall to climb on. We leave Hadrians Wall at 4pm to drive to the Hostel.

Once everyone has settled into their rooms, we have our evening meal. Then you are free to chill out, play some table tennis or relax in the lounge.

On Sunday morning, breakfast is served between 7.30 – 9am. Then, we meet outside the Hostel at 9.45am and walk down to catch a boat across Derwent Water.

This takes us to the base of Catbells, which we walk up. This is a steep and rocky mountain, so make sure you bring suitable sturdy footwear and wear socks! We walk up to the summit, where we sit and have our packed lunches.
