It is with great sadness we say goodbye to the ELTC Summer School; it is time to change Rother Valley and Alpaca Farms for lectures and weekend trips around the UK for weekend in the IC. We hope you all have learnt a lot of English as well as have had a fantastic time with us – we always do with you.
Here are some pictures from the last couple of weeks –
We got some free tickets to watch Sheffield Wednesday playing against Reading and we took over the south stand of the Hillsborough ground. There were 95 of us in total! It was quite an exciting game – Sheffield Wednesday scored on the last minute of the game, drawing 1-1! (And Victoria learnt how not to eat a pie)

A couple of weeks ago, we had a brand new activity for this year: Altitude. A group of 15 of us went to Sheffield’s very own high ropes adventure park and it was so much fun. I am sure we will be going there agains oon.
We also had the first Great ELTC Bake Off. Evelyn cheesecake won, but the other Evelyn’s brownies were so yummy too.

Last week, it was time for Rother Valley, an adventure park not far from Sheffield. We did some kayaking as well as some use some pedal boats and normal boats. But, the best thing about it is the swimming. And a few people were as brave as to swim with clothes!
We also went bowling in Centertainment. After a couple of games, everyone seemed to be getting better at it.
On Tuesday, we went dog racing one more time. How could it not be popular to have a free hot dog with chips and a beer, plus a couple of free bets?
